We have tried everything to get the to shut up and we even have locked them in their kennel for the night with a blanket over the kennel and they still continue to bark. We can’t bring them inside at night because my little sister has bad allergies to them. We are really stumped! Help please!
In all honesty, if you’re going to have a dog, it shouldn’t be locked up outside at night. If your sister is allergic to it, it probably doesn’t belong there. Look at the welfare of the dog, along with your own welfare, and figure out what’s best for it. Dogs are pack animals, and when we bring them into our homes, we become their pack. When they’re booted out to the back porch, they’re alone, and that doesn’t work with the "pack" mentality, so they express their frustration with barking or destruction.
You neither mention the age nor breed of your dogs and how long you have had them. This info would really help in answering your question.

there are all kind of vegetarian dog treats available out there but first lets take a look at the situation.. You have recently welcomed a furry companion into your home. Your four-legged friend has adopted you as her own. Now that you have become a true pet owner, you need to decide what to feed your pet.

well if its a puppy you can put a ticking Alarm clock under a warm blanket so it feels like its his/hers mom. it should work because it sounds like a heart beat.

more than likely they are not going to stop barking, that’s their only way of trying to communicate with you. That’s them telling you hey… im lonely, hungry, cramped. They make allergy medicine for kids. my step daughter is on Zyrtec, which works very well, there are other allergies she has as well.

Here is the reason your dogs are barking at night:
They are outside.
Its just that simple. They are bored. They want to be with their family. There is no way to make them stop barking. Its really that simple.
You never should have bought dogs if a member of your family has allergies. Its obvious that you cannot care for them. Surrender them to a no kill shelter and allow them to find a home that actually wants them.

Reading some of these answers really makes me laugh and see how dumb some people really are…dogs shouldnt be outside..where are these people from??Dogs are meant to be outside pets..some people just choose to have some dogs inside. For example i have a Shih tzu that is yes inside and i have 2 Blue Heelers who are outside dogs..they are very well taken care of.They have proper shelter and love and attention. These kind of dogs are actually cattle dogs and LOVE the outdoors. They need lots of room to run and exercise and be happy…having them locked in a house would actually be cruel and improper..so people should really make sure they are smart enough to answer a question before they do so..now to answer the question that you have asked and not just blab at the mouth..there are noncruel ways to train your dogs not to bark..there are collars that elimnates citronella when they bark..they dont like this smell and will find out the barking causes the smell and then there is the ultasonic bark control system..it gives off a sound that only the dog can hear when they bark and they will connect the two.Just please dont use the shock collars..those are mean.Good Luck to you!!

After weeks of not being able to sleep, I decided to check the internet and found a lot of people that recommended "The Barking Dog CD".
To make a long story short, I popped the CD into my CD player and the dogs stopped barking almost immediately. As on person stated "I almost fell out of my chair when the dogs stopped barking". I totally agree with them.
It worked like a charm. The website is at http://www.antibarkingdevice.com if you are interested.
This method should also work on your own dog if you are having problems with your dog. I certainly hope that I was helpful to you.
